About
Dr. Tom Michaud is a sports medicine chiropractor, researcher, and internationally
recognized author based in Newton, Massachusetts, where he has maintained a private
practice for over 35 years treating elite and recreational athletes.
He is the author of two landmark clinical textbooks: Foot Orthoses and Other Forms
of Conservative Foot Care (1993, translated into four languages) and Human
Locomotion: The Conservative Management of Gait-Related Disorders (2012), which
is used as a reference text in physical therapy, chiropractic, pedorthic, and
podiatry schools worldwide. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles
on biomechanics and gait-related pathology, and serves on the editorial review
boards of Chiropractic Sports Medicine and The Australasian Journal of Podiatric
Medicine.
Dr. Michaud lectures on clinical biomechanics internationally and is a Fellow of
the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic (FICS).
