T-Apex Motorized Resistance System

Motorized resistance and overspeed assistance for sprint and change-of-direction training

t-apex logo

What is T-Apex

T-Apex is a portable motorized system that applies resistance or assistance to an athlete through a cable while recording the movement. It is used in sprint and change-of-direction training to control the load across a run and to measure speed, force and power during the session. Omniathlete is a technical and scientific partner of T-Apex and supports practitioners through education and online demonstrations.

Training Modalities

NORMAL

Single-direction resistance for linear speed. The load is applied against the athlete's forward movement.

ISOTONIC

Bi-directional resistance for change of direction and lateral movements. The athlete works against the cable in more than one direction.

OVERSPEED

Assistance in the direction of running, allowing movement speeds above those the athlete reaches unassisted.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is T-Apex?

T-Apex is a portable motorized resistance and assistance system. It pulls on or resists the athlete through a cable and records speed, force, distance, time and power during sprint and change-of-direction work.

Which training modes does T-Apex offer?

The modes are normal (single-direction resistance for linear speed), isotonic (bi-directional resistance for change of direction and lateral movements) and overspeed (assistance in the direction of running).

What load and speed range does it cover?

Resistance is continuous from 0 to 20 kgf, or up to 40 kgf with the overload kit, and assisted running is possible up to 14 m/s. The load can be shaped across up to 10 segments within a single repetition.

Is T-Apex portable, and how is the data stored?

The unit weighs under 20 kg and the battery is removable for air travel. Data are stored locally on a tablet and no subscription is needed.

What happens during the online demo?

The demo lasts 30 minutes and is held online. It covers the training modes, the load settings and the data the system records, and leaves time for questions.
